The SLC Final Edition represents the ultimate evolution of the R172 roadster, marking the end of the SLK/SLC production run. These seats are engineered to combine the sportiness of the AMG-Line with the high-end materials typically reserved for Designo editions.

Key Visual & Material Features

• Two-Tone Nappa Leather: The seat bolsters and main panels are finished in a striking combination of Black and Silver Pearl Nappa leather.

   

• Carbon-Look Leather (Carbon Leather): This unique textured leather is used on the headrests and the upper section of the seatbacks. It provides a “technical” carbon fiber weave appearance while maintaining the soft touch of natural hide.

   

• Alpaca Grey Stitching: The entire interior, including the seat seams, features high-contrast topstitching in Alpaca Grey to match the Silver Pearl leather.

   

• Silver SLC Lettering: The headrests feature embroidered silver “SLC” branding, a hallmark of the Final Edition’s exclusivity.

Technical Equipment & Comfort

Model-Specific Variations

While the material palette is consistent, there are subtle differences based on the engine variant:

1. SLC 300 Final Edition: Features the standard sport seat geometry with the Black/Silver Pearl leather.

    

2. AMG SLC 43 Final Edition: Uses the same carbon leather/nappa combination but often includes Grey seat belts and an AMG Performance steering wheel that uses matching carbon-embossed leather in the upper and lower segments.

    

Retrofit & Installation Notes

• Airscarf Connectivity: If you are retrofitting these seats into an SLK or SLC that did not originally have Airscarf, you will need the specific door-mounted control switches and SCN coding to activate the blowers.

• Seat Sensors: The SLC Final Edition (2019+) uses the latest generation of occupancy sensors. If installing these into an early SLK (2011–2015), you may encounter SRS (airbag) errors due to different communication protocols; professional coding or sensor swapping is required.

• Silver Pearl Care: The Silver Pearl leather sections are sensitive to denim transfer (blue staining). It is recommended to use a high-quality leather sealant specifically designed for light-colored Nappa.
