Laserlight & Shadowline Advantage

The “Blue Eye”: BMW Laserlights are easily identified by the blue accents within the housing. They offer Matrix LED functionality for low beams and a laser-boosted high beam for extreme range.

Shadowline (Option 3MF): This package typically includes the Shadowline headlights, where the internal chrome brows are replaced with a dark-tinted/black finish, matching the high-gloss black M-Sport kidney grilles.

Intelligent High Beam: These units automatically “shroud” other vehicles in a tunnel of shadow while keeping the rest of the road fully illuminated.
Retrofit Intelligence
 For 2017–2020 (Pre-LCI) Owners:
Mandatory Swap: To upgrade to the LCI look, you cannot just change the headlights. The LCI Laserlights have a different curvature where they meet the hood and bumper. You must replace the Bumper, Bonnet, and Headlights as a synchronized set.
Coding: The Laserlights require specific 2021+ headlight modules and extensive VO (Vehicle Order) coding to communicate with older Body Domain Controllers (BDC).
Active Grilles: The LCI one-piece grille requires the updated motor-driven active shutter assembly included in this package.
