BMW F87 M2 Competition Seats Interior Door Trim SET
M-Sport Bucket Seats | Open-Pore Carbon | Alcantara | 2019–2021
The F87 M2 Competition interior is a significant step up from the “OG” M2. While the original M2 used standard 2 Series sport seats, the Competition borrowed the iconic M3/M4 (F80/F82) “Bucket” seats, giving the cabin a much more aggressive, driver-focused feel. This complete interior set is the ultimate upgrade for any F22 2 Series or Pre-LCI M2 owner. BMW F87 M2 Competition Seats Interior Door Trim SET

Competition Specific Highlights
-
Illuminated M2 Logos: Unlike the F82 M4, the M2 Competition logos in the seat backrests illuminate upon entry. When buying a used set, check that the wiring for these LEDs is intact.
-
Open-Pore Carbon: The trim is unique because it is not glossy. It has a textured, “raw” carbon feel that reduces glare and doesn’t show fingerprints like the high-gloss versions.
-
Alcantara Accents: The M2 Competition door panels feature more Alcantara than the standard 2 Series, particularly around the grab handles and armrest areas.
-
M1/M2 Buttons: If the set includes the steering wheel, it will feature the programmable Red M1/M2 buttons, allowing for instant chassis/engine preset changes.
Fitment & Retrofit Intelligence
 Important Compatibility Notes:
Standard M2 to M2 Competition: This is a direct “bolt-in” swap. The seat rails and connectors are identical. However, you must move your existing seat modules to the new seats or code the car to avoid the SRS Airbag warning.
F22 2 Series Retrofit: These will fit any F22 (220i, 230i, M240i). Be aware that the M2 Comp seats are slightly wider at the shoulder; ensure you have enough clearance if you have a roll bar or aftermarket cage.
The “Lumbar” Difference: Most M2 Competition seats come with power-adjustable side bolsters, a feature many standard 2 Series lack. This will require simple coding to activate the pneumatic pumps in the seats.
