Rear Bumper for the Lamborghini Huracán Performante is a masterpiece of material science, featuring a significant amount of Forged Composite (also known as Forged Carbon). Unlike standard carbon fiber which has a woven look, Forged Composite has a “marbled” appearance and is used for the complex aerodynamic shapes of the Performante.

1. Technical Identification

The rear bumper is actually an assembly of several different sections. When you search for “Forged Carbon,” you are usually looking for the lower diffuser and the wing mounting area.

• Main Bumper Skin: Primarily high-strength thermoplastic, designed to be painted.

• Rear Diffuser (Forged Composite): Part number 4T0807521 (with suffixes like AK or AL). This is the massive marbled carbon piece at the bottom.

• ALA System Integration: The rear bumper houses the vents and internal ducting for the ALA 2.0 (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva), which channels air to the hollow rear wing struts.

3. Key Features of the Performante Rear End

• The Marbled Finish: No two Forged Composite pieces are identical. If you are replacing only one section, the “pattern” of the marble may look slightly different from the rest of the car, though this is standard for the material.

• High-Exit Exhaust: The Performante bumper features high-mounted exhaust cutouts (near the license plate). This is different from the LP610-4, which has the exhaust at the bottom corners.

• ALA Actuators: The bumper assembly includes the electric motors that open and close the internal flaps for the active aero system.

4. Installation & Fitment Notes

• Compatibility: While the bumper can be physically mounted to a standard Huracán, it will not line up with a standard exhaust system. You must have the high-exit Performante/Evo exhaust system installed.

• Heat Shielding: Because the exhaust exits higher up, the rear bumper requires extensive gold or silver heat shielding on the inside. New bumpers often do not come with this shielding pre-installed—ensure you order the heat shield kit as well.

• Parking Sensors: The Performante bumper has specific mounting brackets for the ultrasonic sensors. If buying aftermarket carbon, these brackets are often missing and must be custom-fabricated.
