MERCEDES GLE 63 S AMG FACELIFT FRONT BUMPER
Panamericana Design | 6 PDC & 360° Camera | 2024–2026
The 2024 Facelift (LCI) for the GLE 63 S AMG refined the “V167” (SUV) and “C167” (Coupe) platforms with a more technical front-end aesthetic. The primary changes are in the light signature (four blocks instead of the “V” shape) and a revised lower bumper apron with more aggressive air-ducting for the 4.0L V8 biturbo and its new hybrid components. Facelift vs. Pre-Facelift: Key Differences
-
The “Jet-Wing” Profile: The facelifted GLE 63 S features a reworked lower lip spoiler that is more pronounced.
-
Badge Detail: The AMG emblem on the radiator grille surround now features a more refined, single-line satin border compared to the thicker pre-facelift versions.
-
Headlight Marriage: While the bumper shape is nearly identical, the inner mounting tabs are optimized for the new Multibeam LED units (identifiable by the four distinct light blocks).
-
Air Ducts: The side air intakes (A1678857105 / 7205) have been slightly reshaped to better channel air toward the 6-piston high-performance brakes.
Technical & Retrofit Intelligence
Fitment Guide for 2020–2023 GLE Owners:
Direct Swap? Yes, the Facelift GLE 63 S bumper can be retrofitted to pre-facelift models. However, to complete the “look,” you must also swap the Headlights and the Grille, as the new light signature is the defining trait of the 2024+ update.
Night Package (Code P60): If sourcing a used set, check the trim color. Standard is Chrome; Night Package parts feature “High-Gloss Black” for the splitter, air intake inserts, and mirror caps.
Sensor Recalibration: The W167/C167 platform relies heavily on sensor-fusion for “Active Steering Assist.” Any bumper removal requires a re-zeroing of the front radar and 360° camera to prevent lane-keep assist errors.
