  • Cooling: The 10R80 generates significant heat compared to older 6-speeds. Ensure the swap includes the factory transmission cooler or a high-capacity aftermarket unit.

  • Oil Pan: The 2021 Coyote uses a composite (plastic) oil pan. If swapping into a classic chassis (like a 60s Mustang), you will almost certainly need a steel Moroso or Canton front-sump swap pan to clear the crossmember.
