ASTON MARTIN VANTAGE AM6 2018-2025 Leather interior seats
For the Aston Martin Vantage (AM6), the interior represents a major shift in design and quality across its production run. There are two distinct “eras” for these seats: the Original (2018–2024) and the Facelift (2025+).
1. Original Era (2018–2024)
During this period, the interior focused on a “predatory” and sporty aesthetic, heavily featuring Alcantara alongside leather.
-
Standard Sports Seats: These feature heavy bolsters and were often trimmed in a mix of Strathmore leather and Alcantara.
-
Sports Plus Seats (Optional): The most common upgrade, providing more aggressive lateral support for high-speed cornering. These usually included 16-way electrical adjustment and heating.
-
Materials: Most cars used Bridge of Weir leather (sourced from Scotland). You could choose between Monotone (one color) or Duotone (two-tone) “Environments”:
-
Create: A focused, simpler look.
-
Accelerate: High-contrast, often with Alcantara inserts for better grip.
-
Inspire: The most luxurious, featuring intricate stitching and perforation patterns.
-
2. Facelift Era (2025–Present)
The 2025 model (introduced in 2024) received a “ultra-luxury” overhaul. The cabin is now nearly identical in quality to the DB12.
-
Redesigned Ergonomics: The seats have been reshaped for better long-distance comfort while maintaining a “lower hip point” to keep you connected to the road.
-
New Leather Patterns: There is a move toward more traditional, hand-stitched leather. The “Bridge of Weir” hide is standard, often featuring a new “quilted” or “hand-perforated” finish that looks more “couture” than the previous versions.
-
Performance Seats (Carbon Fiber): Available as a lightweight option, these use a carbon fiber shell to shave weight (approx. 17kg/37lbs) while being surprisingly well-padded for daily use.
Quick Comparison Table
| Feature | 2018–2024 Seats | 2025+ Seats |
| Primary Vibe | Aggressive / Technical | Luxurious / Refined |
| Adjustment | 8 or 16-way Electric | 16-way Electric (Standard) |
| Material Mix | Heavy use of Alcantara | More “Full-Leather” options |
| Headrest | Integrated | Integrated (Revised Shape) |
| Ventilation | Optional | Improved Cooling Performance |
Care & Maintenance Tip
If your seat set features Alcantara (the suede-like material), it requires different care than the leather.
-
Leather: Use a pH-neutral cleaner and a conditioner once every 6 months to prevent the Bridge of Weir hide from drying out.
-
Alcantara: Never use leather conditioner on these sections. Use a dedicated Alcantara cleaner and a soft brush to “fluff” the fibers back up, otherwise they will become “matted” and shiny from the oils on your clothes/skin.
