BENTLEY FLYING SPUR FACELIFT SEATS SET

For the Bentley Flying Spur, the term “Facelift” typically refers to two distinct eras depending on whether you are looking for the Second Generation (MK2) or the brand-new Fourth Generation (2025+).

1. The “New” Facelift: 4th Generation (2025–2026)

Bentley has just launched the fourth generation (internally sometimes still grouped with the 3S/3SD family but marketed as a major “Ultra Performance Hybrid” facelift).

• Wellness Seating Specification: The core upgrade for this facelift. It includes Seat Auto Climate, which uses sensors to monitor occupant temperature and humidity, automatically activating heating or ventilation to maintain a set point.

• Postural Adjust: Uses air pockets in the seat to continuously change pressure on muscles (up to 177 individual pressure changes across 15 zones) to prevent fatigue on long journeys.

• 3D Diamond Hide: In this facelift, the signature 3D leather texture has been extended from the seats to the doors and, for the first time, onto the B-pillars.

• Configurations: Available as a 4-seat (Comfort) with a full-length center console or a 5-seat (Bench) configuration.

2. Second Generation Facelift (MK2: 2013–2019)

If you are sourcing a used “Facelift” seat set for the older MK2 chassis, these are the specs for the 2015+ models:

• Seat Architecture: Completely redesigned from the first generation (3W) to provide better lateral support and a more upright, formal seating position for rear passengers.

• Massage & Comfort: 2015+ models featured an upgraded “Hot Stone” massage function in the front and rear outboard seats.

• Rear Seat Remote: This era introduced the Touchscreen Remote (TSR), a removable tablet stored in the rear console that controls all seat heating, lumbar, and climate functions.

• Hide Types: Primarily Nappa leather in “Fluted” (Standard) or “Diamond Quilted” (Mulliner Specification).

3. Mulliner Seat Features (All Generations)

A “Mulliner Seat Set” is the most desirable and includes:

• Diamond-in-Diamond Quilting: Thousands of individual stitches per seat.

• Embroidered Wings: The Bentley logo stitched into each headrest in contrasting thread.

• Perforated Leather: Essential for the cooling/ventilation function.

• Piping: Contrasting leather piping along the seams to define the seat’s silhouette.

Technical Compatibility Note

Retrofitting Warning: You cannot easily swap a seat set from an MK2 (2013–2019) into a 3rd/4th Gen (2020–2026) car. The seat rails, airbag connectors, and communication protocols (LIN-bus vs. CAN-bus) are entirely different. Even within the same generation, if you upgrade from “Standard” to “Wellness” seats, you will need to replace the Seat Control Modules and perform a dealer-level coding (ODIS) to enable the extra air-pocket and sensor features.
