This is the flagship interior for the BMW F10 M5 (2011–2016). Unlike the standard Dakota leather found in lower-tier 5-Series models, the M5 features Fine-Grain Merino Leather, an untreated, “open-pore” hide that is significantly softer, more breathable, and maintains a premium matte finish. M Multi-function Seats: These are the “20-way” seats that offer adjustable upper backrest articulation (shoulder support), power-adjustable side bolsters, and an extendable thigh support.

Full vs. Extended Leather: In the “Full Merino” configuration, the door panels (door cards) are wrapped in stitched leather along the upper shoulder and armrest, significantly reducing the use of plastic in the cabin.

Retrofit & Compatibility Notes
For 5-Series (528i, 535i, 550i) Owners:
Direct Bolt-On: The seat rails and door card mounting points are identical to any F10 5-Series sedan.
Wiring Requirement: If your original seats were not “Multi-function” (20-way), you will need to add a 12V power tap and ground for the extra adjustment motors and coding to enable the memory functions.
Airbag Warning: Ensure the donor vehicle’s airbags are intact. It is recommended to swap your original seat belt pretensioners to the new seats to avoid SRS coding issues.
