BMW M3 G80 G81 M4 G82 G83 LCI Bumper Fender Headlight
Facelift (2024–2026) | G8x Evolution
The Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) for the G8x M3 and M4 series, introduced for the 2025 model year, brings a focused modernization to the front end. While the controversial “large kidney” grille remains, the lighting signature and internal bumper components have seen significant revisions.
1. LCI Headlights: The “Snake Eye” Design
The most visible change is the move away from the “Laser Light” (Pre-LCI) to a new Full LED Adaptive system with a vertical, chevron-style DRL signature. BMW M3 G80 G81 M4 G82 G83 LCI Bumper Fender Headlight
Retrofit Intelligence: The LCI headlights can be retrofitted to pre-LCI cars. However, unlike earlier generations, they are not “plug-and-play.” They require the LCI LED Modules and significant SCN Coding via Esys/XENTRY to function correctly with the older Body Domain Controller (BDC).
2. Front Bumper & Grille
Contrary to rumors, the main plastic bumper skin (the “fascia”) has not physically changed its outer dimensions.
-
Compatibility: A pre-LCI bumper and an LCI bumper are interchangeable.
-
Trim Changes: The LCI models often feature revised lower mesh patterns and air intake surrounds (especially on Shadowline packages).
-
Part Numbers: * Front Bumper (Primed): 51118069415 (Standard for all G8x).
-
LCI Front Badge: 51145A8D1D1 (New silver-bordered “M3/M4 Competition” badge).
-
3. Fenders (Wings)
The front fenders remain identical between pre-LCI and LCI models.
-
Side Gills: The carbon or gloss black side gills (Air Breathers) remain the same, though the internal badging has been updated for the LCI to match the new font/border style found on the rear.
