Corvette C7 Z06 brake
C7 Z06 braking system is a high-turnover category. To stock or source correctly, you must distinguish between the J56 (Iron) and J57 (Carbon Ceramic) packages, as they use entirely different rotors, pads, and caliper offsets.

2. OEM Replacement Parts (2026 Inventory)
Rotors (The High-Value Core)
-
J56 Front Iron Rotor: #84951566 (Replaces #20981823). These are directional; ensure you have Left and Right pairs.
-
J57 CCM Front Rotor: #84951564 (Replaces #20981824). Market Note: These retail for approx. $1,800 – $2,200 each.
-
J57 CCM Rear Rotor: #84951565.
Brake Pads
-
Standard Z06 (Iron): #84732503 (Front) / #25940447 (Rear). These are a semi-metallic high-performance compound.
-
Z07 (Carbon Ceramic): #23198850 (Front) / #23198854 (Rear). These pads are specifically formulated for CCM surfaces; using iron-spec pads on CCM rotors will ruin the rotors instantly.
3. Popular “Buy Mustang parts Ltd” Inventory Upgrades
The “No-Dust” Street Upgrade
Many C7 Z06 owners complain about the heavy brake dust from OEM iron pads. For your luxury street clients, the PowerStop Z26 Extreme is a top seller.
-
Benefits: Carbon-fiber ceramic compound that virtually eliminates dust while maintaining a “luxury” pedal feel.
-
Note: Fits the J56 (Iron) brake package only.
CCM-to-Iron Conversion Kits
Track enthusiasts often swap their $8,000 Carbon Ceramic rotors for iron units to save on replacement costs.
-
Top Brands: GiroDisc and Paragon Performance offer 2-piece iron rotors that bolt directly into the J57 calipers. This is a high-demand item for racers who don’t want to “burn through” $4,000 of ceramic in one weekend.
