G63 AMG Package G-Class W463A W464 Bumper Grille
For the Mercedes-AMG G63 (W463A / W464), the front bumper and Panamericana grille are the defining features of the AMG package. In 2026, parts for the W465 (Series II) facelift have also entered the catalog, introducing subtle changes to the night package trim and camera housing.
1. G63 AMG Front Bumper (W463A / W464)
The G63 bumper is modular, consisting of the main primed cover, three distinct air intake grilles, and protective stainless steel covers.
-
Night Package (Code NP1): If your G63 has the Night Package, the corner covers and trim inserts are finished in High-Gloss Black (Part No. suffix often ends in 9040) rather than the standard matte silver/chrome.
2. Panamericana Radiator Grille
The “Panamericana” design with vertical slats is exclusive to the G63.
-
Standard Chrome Version: A46388852009999
-
Features a chrome frame and vertical chrome slats over a black mesh.
-
-
Night Package II (Dark Chrome): 463A-63-Dark
-
Features a dark-tinted chrome or matte black finish with a high-gloss black Mercedes star.
-
-
Technical Note: The grille features a cutout for the 360° Front Camera. If your vehicle is not equipped with this (rare for a G63), a “dummy” camera plug is required to fill the aperture.
3. The “Brush Guard” (Bull Bar) Delete
Many owners in 2026 prefer the “clean” look without the stainless steel brush guard.
-
If you remove the guard, you will be left with two exposed mounting holes in the bumper.
-
The Fix: You must purchase the Bumper Cover Kit (Bull Bar Delete).
-
Part Numbers: Sourced as a kit (, these small inserts snap into the bumper to hide the mounting points. Expect to pay
-
for a color-matched set (Magno Black or Obsidian Black).
4. Rear Bumper Details
The rear bumper for the G63 is slimmer than the G550 and features integrated stainless steel step plates.
-
Main Rear Bumper: A4638804602
-
Blind Spot Assist (Code EA2): The bumper houses the radar sensors for blind-spot monitoring. If replacing the bumper, you must ensure the internal brackets for these sensors are present and undamaged, or the system will fail to calibrate.
5. Installation & Verification
-
W465 Compatibility: The 2025/2026 (W465) facelift bumper looks similar but has updated ducting for the AMG Active Ride Control radiators. While it can be retrofitted to 2019–2024 models, it requires the new intercooler shrouds.
-
Authenticity Check: Genuine Mercedes-AMG bumpers are made of Polypropylene (PP), while many cheap aftermarket kits are Fiberglass (FRP). FRP is brittle and will crack upon the first minor impact, whereas PP flexes. Always look for the embossed Mercedes star and “Made in Germany” on the inner lip.
