M180.941 Engine & Transmission

This M180.941 2.2-liter 12 valve gasoline inline-six engine was originally installed in a 1961 Mercedes-Benz 220Sb with the engine number 180.941-10-050167 and includes a four speed manual transmission. The 220Sb showed 71,163 miles on it when the engine was removed. The auction includes the engine, exhaust manifolds, carburetors, generator, distributor, clutch assembly, air cleaner, starter, and transmission – all in proper working order at the time of removal. A big service was performed on this engine prior to removal including new spark plugs, timing chain tensioner, fuel pump diaphragm, resealed transmission, new clutch disc, plated hardware, new wires and points which were tuned on a distributor machine, and much more.   • This M180 engine number reads 180.941-10-050167 and had 71,163 miles on the odometer during its removal. The seller says they believe the mileage to be original and accurate. These engines were rated at 124 horsepower and 139 foot-lbs of torque when new. The intake manifold and exhaust manifolds are still bolted to the engine. Engine compression numbers show as very healthy and are as follows:
