McLaren 570 door left right door
McLaren 570 series (570S, 570GT, and 540C) uses a sophisticated dihedral door system. While the doors look identical across the “Sports Series” lineup, there are specific differences in internal seals and glass between the Coupe, Spider, and GT models.

 2. Market Pricing (March 2026)
Parts for these doors are rarely sold as a “one-click” purchase and are often split into the shell, the “tendon” (outer aero skin), and the electronics.
| Component | Condition | Est. Price (USD) | Notes |
| Complete Door Assembly | Used | $2,100 – $3,500 | Includes shell, glass, and wiring. |
| Door Shell (Bare) | Used/OEM | $1,200 – $1,800 | Usually needs paint and internal swap. |
| Latch/Actuator | New/Used | $450 – $750 | The most common repair part. |
| Soft-Close Motor | New (OEM) | $600 – $900 | Optional upgrade for most 570s. |
| Lower Speaker Cover | Used | $150 – $250 | High-traffic area for kicks/scuffs. |
 3. Model Compatibility Differences
-
570S Coupe vs. Spider: The door shells are mostly interchangeable, but the window glass is unique. The Spider glass has a different curvature and seal point to meet the retractable hardtop.
-
570GT: Uses the same door structure as the S, but the interior door cards often feature more leather/insulation for “Grand Touring” comfort.
-
600LT: Uses the same doors but often features MSO Carbon Fiber “door blades” (the floating tendon) which are much more expensive to replace if damaged.
 4. Common Troubleshooting
-
Door Won’t Open/Latch: Usually a failure of the Door Latch Actuator. It’s a common 570S “gremlin.” If you hear a clicking but the door won’t catch, the cable or the internal plastic gear in the actuator has likely failed.
-
Window Indexing: If the window doesn’t “drop” slightly when you pull the handle, the door sensor or the window motor needs recalibration.
-
Scuffing: The “tendon” area is prone to stone chips. Many owners apply PPF (Paint Protection Film) specifically to this area of the door.
