MCLAREN 570S Brake System Ceramic Kit
the Carbon Ceramic Brake (CCM) Kit for the McLaren 570S remains one of the most significant performance upgrades or maintenance items for the Sports Series platform. While many 570S models came standard with ceramics, some “base” models or 540C variants used iron discs.
A complete kit is designed to reduce unsprung weight by approximately 21 kg (46 lbs) and eliminate brake fade during high-speed track sessions.

Iron to Ceramic Retrofit: What You Need to Know
If your 570S currently has iron brakes and you want to install this kit:
-
Calipers: The iron brake calipers are not compatible with the thicker and larger diameter ceramic rotors. You must purchase the larger Monobloc calipers.
-
Programming: You will need a McLaren Diagnostic System (MDS) to update the car’s ABS and Stability Control software. Ceramic brakes have different “bite” characteristics and heat cycles; the car needs to know they are installed to balance the brake bias correctly.
-
Master Cylinder: Some 570S builds require a master cylinder swap to handle the different fluid displacement of the larger CCM calipers.
