McLaren 675LT 650S Seats Driver’s Seat Passenger Seat Carbon Leather
the McLaren 675LT and 650S seats are among the most popular interior upgrades within the Super Series community. While the 650S was often delivered with Electric Comfort Seats, the 675LT came standard with the iconic P1-style Carbon Fiber Racing Buckets.
1. Seat Comparison: 650S vs. 675LT
2. Interchangeability & Installation
The 650S and 675LT share the same MonoCell chassis, meaning the mounting holes on the floor are identical. However, the swap is not “plug-and-play” due to electronics:
-
Airbag / SRS Warnings: The 650S comfort seats have side airbags and occupancy sensors. The 675LT buckets do not always have the same occupancy sensors. To avoid a permanent SRS light on your dashboard, you will need a Seat Emulator or a software reflash from a specialist like McMedics.
-
Wiring Harness: The harness for the 8-way electric seat in the 650S has more pins than the manual 675LT seat. You may need an adapter or to de-pin certain wires to maintain the heater function (if the LT seat is so equipped).
-
Seat Belts: If you are moving to the 675LT buckets, it is highly recommended to install the 6-point harness alongside the standard 3-point belt, as the seats are pre-drilled for this.
