What Makes a “Complete” Set?
When sourcing a “Complete” assembly, the unit must include the specific electronic control modules mounted to the bottom and rear of the headlight housing.
 Required Modules for A1189061301:
Main LED Power Module: Often part number A2229003013 or A2139005711 (Lear/Hella).
Voltage Converter / Fan Driver: Regulates the cooling fans and DRL intensity.
Note: If the unit is “bare” (housing only), you can reuse modules from a damaged identical headlight, but they must be calibrated to the new LED matrix.

Standard LED to Multibeam: If your CLA originally came with “Static” LED High Performance lights (Code 632), upgrading to Multibeam is a significant project. You will need a new front wiring harness and a front-mounted camera (behind the rearview mirror) for the adaptive masking functions to work.

SCN Coding: Even for a direct replacement of a broken unit, the new headlight must be SCN Coded using Mercedes XENTRY. This links the specific LED matrix characteristics of that individual lamp to the car’s lighting control unit.
