MERCEDES V250 AMG FACELIFT FRONT PACKAGE COMPLETE
For the Mercedes-Benz V-Class V250 (W447), the 2024–2026 AMG Facelift Front Package is a significant modernization of the world’s premier luxury van. This “Facelift II” update brings the V-Class into alignment with the latest Mercedes-Benz passenger car design language, featuring a much larger, more integrated front-end presence.
1. The “Star Pattern” Grille
The centerpiece of the 2024+ AMG Line is the redesigned radiator grille.
The Design: Unlike the previous twin-slat design, the new AMG Line grille features a vast “Star Pattern” mesh (tiny three-pointed stars) and a more vertical, upright stance.
-
Illuminated Surround: Higher-end versions of this package include an LED light band that contours the grille, creating a distinctive light signature at night.
-
Mercedes Star: In the AMG Line, the star remains integrated into the grille, whereas the “Exclusive” trim now features a standing star on the hood for the first time.
2. AMG Front Apron & Dynamics
The bumper is significantly more sculpted, moving away from the “van-like” utility of older models.
-
Aggressive Ducting: Features massive side air intakes with high-gloss black decorative trim. The lower central intake has a refined hexagonal mesh.
-
Multibeam LED Integration: The package is designed to flow seamlessly into the new, slimmer Multibeam LED headlights, which feature an updated DRL “eyebrow” design.
-
Aero Splitter: A sharp lower lip finished in high-gloss black (Night Package) or chrome, providing a more grounded, wide-track appearance.
3. Package Component Checklist
A “Complete Front Package” for a 2024+ conversion typically includes:
| Component | Technical Specification / Detail |
| AMG Front Bumper | Primed high-quality PP skin with 6x PDC sensor holes. |
| Star Pattern Grille | Choice of Chrome or High-Gloss Black with Camera mount. |
| LED Light Strip | The illuminated grille surround wiring and module. |
| Multibeam LEDs | Adaptive LED headlight units (essential for the facelift look). |
| Internal Brackets | Revised impact absorbers and air guides for the LCI geometry. |
| Night Package Accents | Blacked-out “flics” and splitter (if the Night Pack is chosen). |
4. Retrofit Considerations (2014–2023 Models)
If you are performing a facelift conversion on a pre-2024 V-Class, this is considered an extensive “Facelift II” project:
-
Hood Requirement: The 2024+ bumper and grille are taller; most conversion kits require a new LCI Hood (Bonnet) to ensure the panel gaps align.
-
Coding: Upgrading to the new Multibeam LED lights or the illuminated grille requires specialized coding (Xentry) to integrate with the vehicle’s Sam-Front control module.
-
Sensors: The 2024 model uses updated radar and camera sensors. Most packages provide brackets that allow you to transfer your existing DISTRONIC and 360° Camera hardware.
Note on Styling: For a “stealth” look, many owners choose the Night Package version, which replaces all the chrome on the star-pattern grille and the lower bumper flics with deep high-gloss black.
