Retrofit & Technical Intelligence
 Critical Compatibility & Safety Notes:
SRS & Airbags: Swapping seats in the X253 requires moving your existing Seat Control Modules and Occupancy Sensors (WSS) to the new seats. If you don’t, you will trigger a permanent SRS (Airbag) malfunction light.
Power & Memory: If your GLC has manual seats, retrofitting power AMG seats requires a new wiring harness and the door-mounted seat adjustment switches.
Heating/Ventilation: Most AMG Performance seats are heated, but Ventilation (Option 401) is very rare on the bucket-style seats. Always verify the connector pins if your car has cooled seats.
PRE-SAFE: The seatbelt buckles in the X253 are part of the PRE-SAFE system. You must reuse your original buckles to maintain the emergency tensioning
