Key Identifying Features

The 2025 headlights are significantly slimmer than the previous generation. The most striking change is the vertical LED daytime running light (DRL) that starts above the main lamp and “descends” deep into the bumper area, framing the new V-shaped lower air intakes.

  • Illuminated Grille Sync: These headlights are designed to work in tandem with the new Illuminated Pantheon Grille, which features a “horizon line” that aligns with the DRLs.

  • Active Matrix Beam: The unit utilizes a matrix of LEDs that can selectively dim sections of the high beam to avoid blinding oncoming traffic while maintaining maximum illumination elsewhere.

Inventory & Installation Notes

  • Coding Required: Like most modern BMW-group electronics (which provide the backbone for Rolls-Royce), these units are heavily VIN-coded. Replacing a damaged unit usually requires authorized dealer software or high-end diagnostic tools to initialize the new module.

  • Module Placement: The LED control modules are often sold separately from the main housing. Ensure you verify if the “ballast” or control units are included when sourcing.

  • Bumper Integration: Because the DRL “fangs” extend into the bumper, any impact that damages the headlight often damages the upper bumper clips as well.

Visual Comparison: Series I vs. Series II

  • Series I (2018-2024): Rectangular, “boxy” units sitting high on the fascia.

  • Series II (2025+): Slimmer horizontal main lamps with distinct vertical “tails” running down toward the ground.
