Windshield Chevrolet Corvette C8 Coupe – OEM
The C8 uses a specialized “Acoustic Interlayer” glass that is specifically etched for HUD reflection on higher trim levels. Installing a non-HUD windshield in a 2LT or 3LT car will result in a “ghosted” or blurry display image.
1. OEM Part Identification (2026)
There are two primary versions of the factory windshield. Both feature the “Team Corvette” logo and the Zora Arkus-Duntov silhouette (standard on models after VIN 11000).
| Feature | OEM Part Number | Notes |
| With HUD | #84866103 | Standard on 2LT, 3LT, 2LZ, 3LZ. Optimized for projection. |
| Without HUD | #84866105 | Standard on 1LT/1LZ. Lacks the internal reflective layer. |
-
Supersessions: These numbers replaced several earlier 2020-2022 versions (#84596923, #84691742). For 2026 inventory, ensuring you have the latest “848” series suffix ensures compatibility with the newest ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) camera brackets.
2. Technical Features
-
Solar Ray Glass: All OEM units are tinted with “Solar Ray” technology to reduce IR (heat) and UV intrusion, protecting the Nappa leather interiors.
-
Acoustic Laminate: The glass is designed to be thinner and lighter than standard automotive glass while maintaining high sound-dampening properties to isolate road noise from the mid-engine V8.
-
ADAS Integration: The top-center of the windshield contains the bracket for the forward-facing camera used for Lane Keep Assist and Automatic Emergency Braking.
