McLaren 570s Axle Rear Left Control Arm Wheel Hub
McLaren 570S, the rear left suspension and drivetrain assembly is a modular system designed for high-stress track environments. Because the 570S belongs to the “Sports Series,” many of these parts are shared with the 540C and 570GT, but differ from the “Super Series” (720S/750S) which uses a different hydraulic suspension architecture.
1. Rear Left Axle (Drive Shaft)
The rear axle connects the 7-speed SSG transmission to the wheel hub. It features high-articulation CV joints to handle the 570S’s significant suspension travel and torque.

OEM Part Number:
11G0296CP -
Notes: This part is typically universal for both the Left and Right sides on the 570S platform.
2. Rear Left Control Arms (Wishbones)
The 570S uses a double-wishbone setup. In a rear collision or curb strike, the Upper Control Arm is often the first “sacrificial” part to bend to protect the carbon fiber MonoCell II chassis.
-
Upper Control Arm (Rear Left):
11B0073CP -
Lower Control Arm (Rear Left):
11B0115CP(Often sold as part of the wider “Suspension Arm” assembly). -
Material: High-strength forged aluminum to minimize unsprung weight.
3. Rear Left Wheel Hub & Spindle
The hub assembly houses the wheel bearing and provides the mounting points for the brake calipers and control arms.
-
Wheel Spindle/Knuckle (Rear Left):
11B0115CP(Note: In some catalogs, the spindle and lower arm are listed under the same primary group number). -
Wheel Bearing:
11B0322CP-
Technical Detail: This is a press-fit bearing unit. If you are experiencing a “humming” noise at speed, it is often more cost-effective to replace the bearing rather than the entire spindle.
-
-
Bolt Pattern: $5 \times 112 \text{ mm}$ (Standard McLaren Sports Series fitment).

Installation & Technical Warning
Alignment Requirement: Replacing any of these components—specifically the control arms—requires a full four-wheel laser alignment. The 570S is extremely sensitive to Rear Toe settings; even a $0.5^\circ$ deviation can cause instability under heavy braking or “crabbing” under acceleration.
Torque-to-Yield Bolts: McLaren recommends replacing the specialized hub-to-spindle bolts and the axle nut once they have been removed, as they are designed to stretch upon initial torquing.
