BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT 18-24 3S 3SD Front Brake Caliper Set
Genuine Bentley Continental GT Front Brake Caliper Set
Series: 3S / 3SD (Third Generation: 2018–2024+)
The third-generation Bentley Continental GT (chassis code 3S) features some of the most powerful braking systems ever fitted to a production car. The calipers for this generation are significantly different from the previous 3W series, moving to a massive 10-piston setup for both the standard Iron and optional Carbon Ceramic systems.
1. Standard Iron Brake System (420mm)
Standard on the V8 and W12 models, these use a high-performance 10-piston fixed caliper designed by Brembo.
-
Left Front Caliper:
3S0615107 -
Right Front Caliper:
3S0615108 -
Common Colors: Gloss Black (Standard), Red (Optional/S-models).
-
Brake Disc Size: 420mm x 40mm.
2. Carbon Ceramic Brake System (440mm)
Often found on the GT Speed or as a high-cost option on standard models. This system features the largest front brake discs currently in production for a passenger car.
-
Left Front Caliper:
3S0615107C(or suffix revision) -
Right Front Caliper:
3S0615108C -
Common Colors: Yellow (Classic CCB), Black (Stealth).
-
Brake Disc Size: 440mm x 40mm.
3. Key Technical Features
-
10-Piston Architecture: Unlike the older 6-piston or 8-piston setups, the
3Scalipers use 10 pistons of varying diameters to provide perfectly even pressure across the massive brake pads. -
Shared Architecture: While these are Bentley-specific, the internal piston kits and seals often share lineage with other high-end VW Group products like the Lamborghini Urus and Audi RS6/RS7 (4M/4G platforms).
-
Weight: Despite their size, these calipers are “monobloc” (cast from a single piece of aluminum), making them exceptionally rigid and relatively lightweight for their scale.
4. Replacement & Service Notes
Software Requirement: When replacing these calipers, the braking system must be bled using a diagnostic tool (like ODIS) to cycle the ABS/ESP pump. Standard manual bleeding is often insufficient to remove air from the complex internal galleries of a 10-piston caliper.
-
Hardware: Caliper mounting bolts are “stretch bolts” and should be replaced every time the caliper is removed.
-
Bolt Part Number:
N91147601(typical).
-
-
Identification: Check the back of your existing caliper for a stamped code starting with 971 (Porsche-derived platform) or 3S.
