Bentley Flying Spur MK2 (2013–2019) Seats

Model Year: 2015

For the 2015 Bentley Flying Spur (MK2), the seating was a complete departure from the first-generation (MK1). While the MK1 shared seats closely with the Continental GT, the MK2 introduced a bespoke, more formal seat architecture designed for enhanced long-distance comfort and improved rear-passenger isolation.

1. Front Seat Specifications

The 2015 front seats are sophisticated 14-way or 10-way adjustable units (depending on trim), designed for maximum ergonomic support.

  • Adjustment: 14-way power adjustment (standard on W12) including memory, height, cushion extension, and 4-way lumbar support.

  • Comfort Functions: Integrated multi-level heating, ventilation (cooling), and a massage system with various intensity settings.

  • Safety: Active head restraints and integrated side-impact airbags.

  • Control: Settings are managed through the 8-inch central touchscreen or the physical seat-side controls.

2. Rear Seat Configurations

Original buyers in 2015 could choose between two primary rear layouts:

Configuration Features Purpose
5-Seat (Bench) Standard 4+1 layout with a folding center armrest and pass-through. Practicality and family use.
4-Seat (Comfort) Two individual “Bucket” seats with a full-length center console. Maximum luxury / Limousine style.
  • Rear Adjustability: In the 4-seat configuration, the rear seats feature 14-way power adjustment similar to the fronts.

  • Touchscreen Remote (TSR): A hallmark of the 2015 MK2 is the removable, wireless touchscreen tablet in the rear. This allows passengers to control seat heating, ventilation, and lumbar support without reaching for door buttons.

3. Mulliner Driving Specification (2015)

If your 2015 model has the Mulliner Specification ($16,500+ option), the seats receive significant aesthetic upgrades:

  • Diamond Quilting: The center sections of the seats and door panels feature the signature Bentley diamond-quilted pattern.

  • Perforated Hide: The leather is perforated to allow for more efficient ventilation.

  • Embroidered Emblems: Bentley Wings are embroidered into the headrests.

  • Knurled Details: Associated metal controls for seat movement often feature the Mulliner knurled (textured) finish.

4. Hide Colors & Trims

Bentley uses 100% natural Nappa leather. For 2015, popular interior colors included:

  • Primary Hides: Linen (Cream), Portland (Grey), Magnolia, Beluga (Black), and Saffron.

  • Secondary Hides: Hotspur (Red), Brunel (Blue-Grey), and Burnt Oak.

  • Piping/Stitching: Owners often customized the seat piping or the contrast stitching (e.g., Linen leather with Hotspur red stitching).

5. Common Service Notes

  • Leather Condition: 2015 models are now over a decade old. To prevent the bolster leather from cracking (especially on the driver’s entry side), regular conditioning with a pH-neutral leather balm is required.

  • Seat Modules: If the memory or massage functions fail, the Seat Control Module (often located under the seat) may have suffered from “water ingress” if the sunroof drains were ever clogged.

  • Calibration: If you replace a seat, the new unit must be “initialized” via a diagnostic tool so the computer knows the physical travel limits of the new motors.
