BMW M4 F82 Seats Interior Door Panels Silverstone SET
Compatibility: BMW M4 (F82 Coupe) | Retrofit: F32 4 Series Coupe
The Silverstone II (Code LKA9) interior is a flagship “M” aesthetic, providing a high-contrast, technical look that defines the F82’s driver-centric cabin. This set utilizes Merino Leather, which is BMW’s highest grade of leather, offering a much finer grain and softer feel than the standard “Dakota” or “Vernasca” options.

Key Performance & Design Features
-
Illuminated M4 Backrest Logos: A signature feature of the F82, these integrated badges light up upon entry. Note that LCI versions of these seats feature an updated “Black Chrome” finish on the logo to prevent the cracking issues seen in early 2014–2016 units.
-
Weight Optimization: The F82 M4 seat shells are significantly narrower and lighter than standard 4 Series seats, providing deeper lateral support for high-$G$ cornering without sacrificing long-distance comfort.
-
Contrast Stitching: The door panels and seat bolsters feature precision contrast stitching that highlights the aggressive contours of the M-interior.
-
Merino Breathability: Because Merino leather is minimally processed, it remains more breathable than lower-tier leathers, helping with temperature regulation during spirited driving.
Installation & Technical Requirements
When preparing this Silverstone set for inventory or installation, consider these critical technical points:
-
Yellow Seat Connector (X14*1B): If retrofitting this set into a standard F32 4 Series, you must verify the pin-out. Standard 4 Series cars may lack the K-CAN bus wires at the seat base required to power the illuminated M4 backrest logos.
-
Airbag Protocol: The side airbags are integrated into the outer bolsters. Always ensure the ACSM (Advanced Crash Safety Module) is powered down (battery disconnected) for at least 15 minutes before disconnecting or reconnecting the seat harness.
-
Leather Maintenance: Silverstone is a “cool” light grey and is highly susceptible to dye transfer from blue jeans. For a professional “As New” presentation, it is recommended to treat the leather with a high-grade pH-neutral sealant.
-
Component Matching: A complete set should ideally include the Center Console/Armrest in Silverstone to maintain the visual continuity of the “Extended Leather” package.
